Double the joy

Christmas is just around the corner and with it, the question of what to give your loved ones. On average, Swiss citizens spend around CHF 300 on Christmas presents, and 13% of the population even want to invest over CHF 500. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly popular to spend time together or to make a donation to a good cause. It's all about thoughtful gestures and sharing values and preferences, while material things take a back seat. Unfortunately, however, there is often no opportunity to wrap or present something in a heartfelt way.

We combine these two ideas: Why not give something as a gift and make a donation to children’s cancer research at the same time? In our donation shop you will find our SPOGLI jump ropes, available for purchase to support our work with a donation of CHF 12 (CHF 8.6 production costs, CHF 4.4 packaging and shipping). This not only supports paediatric cancer research in Switzerland, but also gives you a thoughtful gift with a meaningful story – practically doing good while jumping. Jumping rope is one of the most intense forms of exercise, it’s easy to do and fun. Perhaps this is not only a nice Christmas present for your grandchildren or neighbours, but also for yourself. Jumping rope for five minutes burns around 60 calories and contributes to heart health. Plus, you’ll already be on track to achieve your New Year’s resolution to exercise more 😊.

Of course, we would also be delighted if you would simply support our work with a donation at Christmas.

If you would like to start your own Christmas campaign, for example under the motto ‘Donations instead of presents’, you can also do this via the donation shop. Click on ‘Start a donation campaign’, register and create your own project. The campaign can then be shared with friends, relatives, colleagues and neighbours and the proceeds will benefit SPOG’s children’s cancer research. We would be happy to help you set up your personal fundraising campaign – simply write to partnerrelations@spog.ch.

We very much appreciate your support and commitment! Thank you for helping to give children and young people with cancer a future with your Christmas donation.
