SPOG works with international study groups to implement a wide-ranging research programme focusing on childhood cancer. Researchers perform quality-controlled studies to improve treatment. This enables children and adolescents with cancer to benefit from the latest scientific findings and international expertise. The studies also help to achieve further optimisation of treatments for future patients. Research plays a central role in enabling children to live a normal life after therapy.
