Jumping for good – our campaign for childhood cancer awareness month

For international childhood cancer awareness month this September, we're offering a unique event: half an hour of skipping with Marc Berthod, former ski racer and SPOG ambassador. The online event "Hüpfend Gutes tun" (Jumping for good, only available in German) is at the heart of our campaign and will take place on Wednesday, 25 September 2024 at 6 p.m.

World Cup winner and Olympic athlete Marc Berthod has been a SPOG ambassador since 2023. A father of three children himself, the health of children and young people is particularly close to his heart. He says: “The work that SPOG does is crucial to improving the quality of life of children and young people with cancer.”

An online training session with Marc Berthod on 25 September 2024 at 6 p.m

In support of SPOG’s childhood cancer research efforts, Marc Berthod is joining forces with Spogli to host an online training session on 25 September 2024 at 6 p.m. Enjoying 30 minutes of physical exercise with a pro, having a whole lot of fun and supporting SPOG at the same time – there’s no better way to do some good, for yourself and for others.

Tickets for participants and supporters

You can buy your ticket to take part in the online training session with Marc Berthod: to join in, all you need is a skipping rope, basic skipping skills, internet access and enough space for skipping. “Supporter” tickets are also available for those who aren’t skippers but still want to cheer on Marc, Spogli and all of the participants.

A social media campaign during the childhood cancer awareness month

SPOG is also selling Spogli skipping ropes for the event. A social media campaign will spread awareness of Marc Berthod’s skipping event and of the work SPOG does.

Skipping – a full-body workout

A beloved children’s pastime that can be beneficial for adults too, skipping is the ideal full-body exercise that combines strength training, coordination and endurance. And since it requires a certain level of focus and rhythm, it’s great for training the mind as well.
