Since its foundation in 2016, the Bärgüf association has not only established an impressive cycling and running event, but has also built up a remarkable community that works together to fight cancer. The Bärgüf event, which stands for community and solidarity, has become a key part of the association's activities.
Through a generous supporting amount of CHF 100,000 in 2019 and two further contributions of CHF 50,000 each in 2024 and in 2025, Bärgüf has provided substantial support to our clinical research programme to combat cancer in children and adolescents. These contributions demonstrate Bärgüf’s profound commitment to cancer research and treatment.
The fifth Bärgüf event in 2023 was an outstanding example of heartfelt commitment and solidarity. With over 955 participants, it was an impressive display of the community’s strength and cohesion. The event goes far beyond fundraising and serves as a source of inspiration and a symbol of hope for patients and their families.
We would like to thank the Bärgüf association for its loyal, wholehearted support of our research work. It is inspiring to witness the association’s solidarity with patients and their families and the dedication of its members and its supporters. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer in children and adolescents.
