SPOG at the Swiss Oncology & Haematology Congress SOHC 2025

From 19 to 21 November 2025, the Swiss Oncology & Haematology Congress (SOHC) will take place in Basel – a platform for scientific exchange among specialists in oncology and haematology.

SPOG is one of 17 participating organisations, and our president, Prof. Dr. Katrin Scheinemann, is a member of the programme committee.

Best Abstract Award
We congratulate Dr. med. Maria Otth, PhD, from the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Switzerland on winning a Best Abstract Award in the category ‘Nursing, supportive & palliative care, rehabilitation & survivorship and integrative oncology’. She will present her work on the ‘Young Survivors Registry’ – a prospective and longitudinal study of the health of survivors of childhood cancer – at the Presidential Symposium on Wednesday, 19 November 2025.

SPOG is participating in the following interdisciplinary sessions:

Wednesday, 19 November, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Hemoglobinopathy
Thursday, 20 November, 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.: AYA bone sarcoma
Thursday, 20 November, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: AYA Oncological rehabilitation
Thursday, 20 November, 1:45–3:15 p.m.: AYA oncology – is a national strategy needed?
Thursday, 20 November, 3:45–5:15 p.m.: Integrative medicine in paediatric oncology

All sessions will take place in the Lima room.
