Your support for clinical research into childhood cancer enables studies for affected children and adolescents to be performed in Switzerland too. With your help we can continue working towards giving a chance of survival to more children in the future and helping them to enjoy a better quality of life in the longer term.
The patient-oriented clinical research into childhood cancer carried out by SPOG is supported by a service level agreement with the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). SPOG is considered to be research infrastructure of national importance.
SPOG is recognised by the cantonal authorities as a non-profit organisation and is accordingly exempt from taxation. You can deduct donations and contributions to SPOG from your tax obligations under the cantonal legislation.
All studies and research projects performed by SPOG are also approved by the Swiss therapeutic products agency Swissmedic and the cantonal and regional ethics committees. The SPOG Coordinating Center and the member hospitals are inspected by an external auditor every three years.
Yes, you will receive a detailed report on the use to which your donation is put in the form of an Annual report, annual accounts and other important documents. You will receive our Annual report in the first six months of the following year unless you request a different date. We will be glad to provide you with a report at any other time if required. We look forward to hearing from you.
