ISLCCC 2024 Symposium in Lucerne

SPOG is pleased to announce the 3rd International Symposium on Late Complications after Childhood Cancer (ISLCCC), which will take place from June 27 to 29, 2024, both online and at the University of Lucerne. This year, Switzerland has the honor of hosting this internationally renowned meeting after the Netherlands.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that our president, Katrin Scheinemann, plays a key role in the organizing committee as Co-Chair and was able to bring the symposium to Switzerland. Her participation highlights the importance of Switzerland as a leading location for medical research and knowledge exchange. The symposium provides a unique platform to discuss and exchange the latest research findings and clinical experiences in the field of late complications after childhood cancer. In her words: “Bringing the ISLCCC to Switzerland is a major success. It offers us a unique opportunity to bring together leading experts in the field of late complications after childhood cancer and discuss the latest research results and clinical developments.”

Why you should participate:

  • Professional Exchange: The symposium brings together experts from various fields, including paediatric and medical oncologists, scientists, psychologists, and radiologists. It is an opportunity to exchange ideas with professionals from all over the world and learn from their experiences and insights.
  • Current Research and Clinical Findings: Presenting new research results and clinical findings offers insights into the latest developments and challenges. This year, special attention is paid to survivorship care in low and middle-income countries.
  • Interactive Formats: With interactive lectures, discussions, and poster presentations, the symposium promotes exchange and collaboration. These formats offer participants the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue and actively participate.
  • Discover Lucerne: In addition to the professional program, the symposium offers the opportunity to explore the historic city of Lucerne. This cultural component of the symposium complements the scientific program and offers participants a unique opportunity to experience Swiss culture.

Interested professionals can already register for the symposium and submit abstracts. Information on registration and fees will be announced at a later date.
