On Sunday 22 October, the Swiss Paediatric Oncology Group (SPOG) took part in the Bremgarten Run for the first time. In the beautiful Bernese suburb of Bremgarten, we were able to inform numerous visitors about the important work that we do.
Despite a cold start to the day, it was not long before we were able to welcome some young visitors to our stand. The kids soon got busy colouring in our canvas bags and giving Spogli a colourful makeover. They let their creativity run wild, producing a whole host of attractive bags featuring creative designs.
As it gradually turned into a wonderful autumn day, our stand drew ever greater numbers of visitors. What’s more, thanks to many generous donors, we managed to raise over CHF 200 for childhood cancer research during the event. Every single donation counts and makes a crucial difference.
We’d also like to express our sincere thanks to the organising committee of the Bremgartenlauf. They gave us the opportunity to bring the topic of childhood cancer research to a wider audience and gain new supporters for our cause.
Our presence at the Bremgarten Run brings this year’s events calendar to a close – we’re already looking forward to meeting you again at the many events scheduled for next year!
