SPOG at the Thun City Run: Take part in the raffle and do some good

On 22 August 2026, we’ll be taking part in the Thun City Run once again. Wearing the AEK Bank and SPOG T-shirt, even the youngest runners will be helping to raise awareness of childhood cancer research this year. You can also try your luck in our raffle and win some great prizes.

It won’t be long now: on 22 August 2026, thousands of runners will line up at the start of the Thun City Run, creating a unique atmosphere in Thun city centre. SPOG will be there once again. From 1 pm to 10 pm, you’ll find us with our raffle at Rathausplatz in Thun.

A visit to our stand is well worth it for several reasons: for CHF 2 per ticket, you’ll have the chance to win a host of attractive prizes. The main prizes include an overnight stay for two at the Hotel BEATUS Wellness & Spa, as well as a CHF 500 dining voucher for the restaurants at the Gstaad Palace. There are also plenty of other great prizes to be won. All the raffle prizes have been kindly donated by various companies and partners. We would like to express our sincere thanks to them.

All proceeds from the raffle will go directly towards SPOG’s childhood cancer research. With every ticket you buy, you’re helping us to continue our work in support of children and young people with cancer.

Together for childhood cancer research

SPOG is also present along the race route. Thanks to our long-standing partnership with AEK Bank, an exclusive AEK Bank and SPOG T-shirt has been created, which will be worn by all children taking part in the Thun City Run. The T-shirt was designed jointly by AEK Bank and SPOG. The back features Spogli and the message “Together for childhood cancer research”.

What’s more, SPOG is leading by example: one of our own runners will be taking part, showing that we’re committed to childhood cancer research not only off the race track, but on it too.

Get to know SPOG

2026 is a special year for SPOG: we are celebrating our 50th anniversary. Why not make the most of your visit to the Thun City Run to meet our team in person? We’d be delighted to tell you more about our research, answer your questions and explain why clinical research is so important for children and young people with cancer.

Of course, we also welcome donations to support our work.

Come and see us at Rathausplatz

Whether you’d like to try your luck in the raffle, find out more about our work or simply have a chat with us – we look forward to welcoming you on Saturday 22 August 2026, between 1 pm and 10 pm, at Rathausplatz in Thun. By taking part in the raffle or making a donation, you’ll be helping to advance childhood cancer research in Switzerland.
