Spogli enters its second round

We are overwhelmed: thanks to around 500 people from all over Switzerland, Spogli has reached its target a whole week earlier than planned. This calls for a second round.

SPOG’s movement campaign is already a resounding success. Together, you have helped Spogli reach its goal faster than we dared to hope. Our mascot has already arrived at the SPOG Coordinating Centre in Bern.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every minute of exercise logged, every franc donated and every time you shared the campaign. You have not only helped Spogli make progress, but have also sent a powerful message of solidarity with children and young people with cancer.

But reaching our target doesn’t mean the journey is over. In childhood cancer research, every step forward is an important milestone, but never the end of the road. Research means constantly learning and finding new ways to improve the chances of survival and reduce long-term effects. That’s exactly what Spogli does too.

That’s why our mascot is now embarking on the second round.

The Golden Round

The timing couldn’t be more fitting: September is International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Around the world, the colour gold symbolises solidarity with children and young people with cancer. That’s why Spogli’s second journey is no longer in blue, but in gold.

Now it’s your turn again: Keep logging your minutes of exercise, encourage people around you to get involved, and support childhood cancer research with a donation. Around 500 people have already taken part in the campaign. If they were each to donate 10 francs, that would raise a further 5,000 francs for research. Many small contributions can make a big difference when combined.

Every minute of exercise moves Spogli forward by five metres. With every franc donated, Spogli moves twice as fast. Together, we decide how far the Golden Round will go.

Join in, get moving, donate and share the campaign. We’re excited to see how far Spogli will go by 13 September.
