A participatory campaign marking the 50th anniversary of SPOG. We look forward to seeing your artwork.
In 2026 SPOG will celebrate its 50th anniversary. One of several activities planned to raise awareness of the importance of childhood cancer research during the anniversary year – while also raising funds to continue this vital work – is the “Anniversary T-shirt” campaign.
The participatory campaign
Children from all over Switzerland are invited to colour in pictures of Spogli, the SPOG mascot. Spogli symbolises hope for a cure and has accompanied SPOG’s research work for many years. A selection of the submitted artworks will be combined into a colourful crowd scene and printed on anniversary T-shirts. They will be sold via our partner Stadtlandkind during the anniversary year. All proceeds from sales will flow into childhood cancer research at SPOG.
Participation and submission
The campaign runs from November 2025 to 28 February 2026. Sales are expected to begin in summer 2026. Children from across Switzerland are welcome to take part. The completed participation forms, together with the consent declaration, can be submitted by post to the SPOG Coordinating Centre or by e-mail. Children whose drawings are selected for the anniversary T-shirt will receive a T-shirt in their chosen size and a small token of thanks.

Hello, I'm Spogli, the SPOG mascot. I'm always curious and wholeheartedly present whenever children and adolescents with cancer are being treated. My greatest wish is that one day all children and adolescents with cancer can be cured – that's why I support the doctors and accompany SPOG in its work.
To mark SPOG's 50th anniversary, something very special has been created: the "Chronicle of Hope". It tells the story of how everything began in 1976, which pioneers built up childhood cancer research in Switzerland – and how a time when cancer in children was mostly fatal has become a time when significantly more children and adolescents survive today.
