SPOG features in the current issue of Sponsoring extra

The current issue of the magazine “Sponsoring extra” features an in-depth article about SPOG. The emphasis is on the ways in which companies can support the research into childhood cancer conducted by SPOG by partnering the organisation.

Our mission, “Research – giving a future to children with cancer”, sends a clear, direct message: our young patients are always at the heart of everything we do. We want to improve their treatment so that more children and adolescents with cancer can be cured. In our article in the magazine “Sponsoring extra”, we explain why research into childhood cancer is so important: Children are not simply small adults. They often develop different types of cancer, meaning that their cancers require special investigation.

SPOG is the only organisation in Switzerland that operates a varied research programme and conducts its own trials for and with affected children and adolescents.

We also talk about our funding and our dependence on the donations that make the complex research conducted by SPOG possible. Our research for patients is dependent on the generosity of individuals, foundations, organisations and companies.

The article also mentions the different ways in which companies can support SPOG, including partnerships lasting for many years, short-term cooperation or donations to mark anniversaries and other occasions. By supporting the clinical research into childhood cancer conducted by SPOG, companies can not only help children and adolescents with cancer but also enjoy an enhanced image and boost perception of their Corporate Social Responsibility.

We would love you to read the article to find out more about the important work done by SPOG.

Together we can do more to beat childhood cancer and give a future to children and adolescents with cancer!
